Southport

Southport is an ideal place for a family day out by the sea. There are miles of sandy beaches and plenty to keep all ages entertained, whatever the weather.

Southport has attractions for all ages. Amusements and funfairs, luxury boutiques and championship golf courses attract visitors to the Lancashire Coast. Southport is an ideal place for a family day out by the sea. There are miles of sandy beaches and plenty to keep all ages entertained, whatever the weather.

Southport Pier is the second longest pier in Britain stretching almost 1 mile out to sea. Take a bracing walk to the Pavilion and enjoy views of the Lancashire and North Wales coastlines. The Pavilion hosts traditional seaside attractions including slot machines and fortune tellers.

A tram service runs every 30 minutes from the Promenade to the Pavilion.

At the entrance to the pier is Silcock’s Funland, a family amusement centre, with the latest in video games and, just around the corner, New Pleasureland has traditional fairground rides including dodgems, waltzers and roller coasters.
