Every year thousands of visitors flock to Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh.  Edinburgh Castle dominates the skyline and in August street entertainers are on every corner as part of the annual Edinburgh Festival.  Quality shopping, and fine dining is found around Princes Street, the main street just outside Waverley Station.

Forty miles away,, Glasgow is home to Scotland’s top two football teams and has superb shops, restaurants,  theatres, museums and art galleries.

There are plenty of places within easy reach of Glasgow and Edinburgh.  Tour the banks of Loch Lomond, discover the Border region, explore St Andrews and the Ancient kingdom of Fife or take a boat trip to the Isle of Bute or Isle of Arran.

The cities of Stirling and Perth are the gateway to the Highlands and Islands.  Climb Britain’s largest mountain, Ben Nevis, enjoy the winter sports season in the Cairngorms, or simply enjoy the stunning scenery that stretches all the way to John O’Groats.

Visit the cities of Aberdeen and Inverness, drive across the bridge to the Isle of Skye or take a boat to the Hebrides, Orkney and Shetland Isles.
