Edinburgh
Edinburgh is an all year round tourist destination. Every year, in August, thousands of tourists flock to the Edinburgh Festival, the Fringe and the Military Tattoo, held at Edinburgh Castle.
The castle is one of Scotland’s most famous landmarks, and dominates the city skyline. From here, the Royal Mile, packed with street entertainers during the festival, leads downhill to the Palace of Holyrood and the Scottish Parliament. Princes Street, the main shopping street, has a host of household name stores mingling with smaller, independent , traditional Scottish shops. It is also home to the Walter Scott Monument, The National Gallery of Scotland and the relaxing Princes Street Gardens. Driving and parking are not easy in Edinburgh, but the city has regular and reliable bus services, serving all parts of the city including out of town attractions such as Edinburgh Zoo and the Royal Yacht Britannia at Leith. The city is surrounded by beautiful countryside and coastlines. The Pentland Hills, to the south and Fife, across the iconic Forth Bridge to the north, offer spectacular views and plenty to see and do. .This site is hosted by PFS Hosting Services
